Do you want to know what our 5K has in store for you? Check out this turn-by-turn description of one of the most unique 5K races in St. Charles County!
The MO’ Cowbell 5K has quite the picturesque start with Frontier Park and the Missouri River to the right as runners head north on Riverside and turn left on Clark.
The course spends less than a quarter mile on Clark before turning right onto 2nd Street.
The one mile mark is just north of the intersection of 2nd and French.
Runners continue heading north on 2nd Street then turn right on Tecumseh.
The course then takes a left on N. Main St. for a short out-and-back section before joining the Katy Trail paralleling the River as runners head south. The two mile mark is less than a quarter mile or so after joining the Katy Trail.
Runners continue on the Historic Katy Trail running parallel to the Missouri River on the left and with plenty of trees views of the River as they head back toward Frontier Park. With about a quarter mile to go the runners take a short jog onto Riverside with the 5K/Half-Marathon finish line in sight. The flat straight-away to the finish should reward runners with a fast time and plenty of post-race refreshments in Frontier Park!
